が、8月9日(日)に函館サーモン・まるなまホール（函館市民会館）大ホールで行われる「創立50周年・記念演奏会｣にて初演されます！

指揮は、同団音楽監督・常任指揮者の三笠裕也氏。
私自身の描きたい音世界を思う存分書かせていただき感謝の気持でいっぱいです…！

My new work for large wind ensemble, Light Pillars (duration: 19 minutes), which I composed this June on commission to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hokkaido University of Education Hakodate Campus Wind Orchestra, will receive its world premiere on Sunday, August 9, at the ensemble’s 50th Anniversary Concert in the Main Hall of Hakodate Salmon Maru-Nama Hall (Hakodate Civic Hall).

The performance will be conducted by the ensemble’s Music Director and Principal Conductor, Yuya Mikasa.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to write this piece completely in my own musical language and to create the sound world I truly wanted to express.

In the summer of 2023, I composed **Future Creators** as a commissioned work celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Wind Orchestra at Ryohoku Junior High School (Conductor and Director: Mr. Jun Hasegawa) in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The work received its world premiere at the band’s annual concert in October 2023.

I am delighted to announce that **Future Creators** has now been published by **Randall Standridge Music**, a major U.S. sheet music publisher!

I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to compose two large-scale works for wind ensemble, and I’ve spent the past couple of months immersed in writing them. ✍🏻

“Reveries of the Island” (approx. 14 minutes)
A commissioned work for the Taiwanese community wind orchestra IFF Music Cornerstone Wind Ensemble.

“Light Pillars” (approx. 19 minutes)
A commissioned work celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Hokkaido University of Education Hakodate Campus Wind Orchestra.

Both works are scheduled to receive their world premieres later this year, and I’m already looking forward to hearing them come to life.

日本吹奏楽指導者クリニックでは、タイ出身で現在アメリカの大学で作曲博士課程に在籍されている作曲家のヴィスカモン・チャイワニッシリさんと再会することができました！

ヴィスカモン・チャイワニッシリさん（ニックネーム：コー）とは一昨年と昨年のミッドウェスト・クリニック（シカゴ）でお会いしてからの交流です。
今年のバンドクリニックに参加されると伺ったので、バンクリ2日目終了後はじっくりコーさんとお話させていただきました。

タイ-アメリカ-日本における吹奏楽シーンの情報交換は勿論のこと、楽曲・作曲に対する彼のスタンスに思わず意気投合！！いくら時間があっても足りないくらい会話に花が咲きました…！

彼の作品は本当に質が高く、タイ国内は勿論、アメリカでも多くの大学バンドやスクールバンドで頻繁に演奏されている作曲家です。
畏れ多くも、彼の作品をより多くの方々に知っていただきたく、いくつかの作品をコメント欄にてご紹介させていただきます。

At the Japan Band Clinic, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with composer Mr. Viskamol Chaiwanichsiri, who is originally from Thailand and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in composition at a University of Missouri – Kansas City in the United States!

My connection with Mr. Viskamol Chaiwanichsiri (nickname : Khoe) began when we met at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago two years ago and again last year.
Since I heard that he would be attending this year’s Japan Band Clinic, we had the chance to spend quite a long time talking together after the second day of the event.

Not only did we exchange thoughts about the wind band scenes in Thailand, the United States, and Japan, but I also found myself deeply resonating with his perspective on music and composition. Our conversation became so lively that it felt as though no amount of time would have been enough!!!

His works are truly of outstanding quality, and he is a composer whose music is frequently performed not only throughout Thailand, but also by many university and school bands in the United States.

Though it may be presumptuous of me, I would love for more people to discover his music, so I would like to introduce several of his works in the comments section below.

千葉県を拠点とする社会人金管五重奏団「アンサンブルみるふいゆ」の委嘱作品として作曲させていただいた
「果てなき飛翔の彼方へ」
が、5/5(火・祝)に きらり鎌ケ谷市民会館 きらりホールにて行われる「アンサンブルみるふいゆ演奏会 Wings〜飛翔〜」にて初演されます！

過去に「アンサンブル みるふいゆ」さんには私の初となる金管五重奏作品「鳥たちは飛翔する」を演奏してくださっており、そのご縁で今回の作曲機会をいただきました。
「果てなき飛翔の彼方へ」は「鳥たちは飛翔する」の続編にあたる作品で、「鳥たちは飛翔する」同様にアクロバティックで爽やかな雰囲気をもつ9分ほどの作品です。

今回の演奏会では初演予定の「果てなき飛翔の彼方へ」のみならず「鳥たちは飛翔する」や、ホルン&ピアノで「エスペランサ」も演奏される予定です。

私も初演に立ち会う予定です。お近くの方は是非ご来場ください！

I’m honored to share that my commissioned piece “Beyond the Eternal Wings”, written for the Chiba-based brass quintet Ensemble Mirufuiyu, will be premiered on May 5 (Tue, holiday) at Kirari Kamagaya Civic Hall (Kirari Hall) during their concert “Wings – Flight”.

Ensemble Mirufuiyu previously performed my very first brass quintet piece, “Birds Flying Away,” and through that connection I was given this wonderful opportunity to compose again.
“Beyond the Eternal Wings” can be considered a sequel to “Birds Flying Away”—a roughly 9-minute piece that shares the same acrobatic and refreshing character.

In addition to the premiere of “Beyond the Eternal Wings,” the concert will also feature “Birds Flying Away,” as well as “Esperanza” for horn and piano.

先日は、5/3(日)に横浜みなとみらいホール 大ホールにて行われる｢どんぐりの吹奏楽団 第5回演奏会｣の練習にお邪魔いたしました！

今回、同団指揮の山田 雅彦さんからご依頼いただき、ジブリ楽曲 計8曲をこの演奏会のために吹奏楽・合唱編曲をさせていただきました。

私も本番に伺う予定です。

Thank you for having me at the rehearsal the other day for the “Donguri Wind Orchestra 5th Concert,” which will be held on Sunday, May 3 at the Main Hall of Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall!

At the request of the conductor Mr. Masahiko Yamada, I arranged a total of eight Studio Ghibli pieces for wind orchestra and chorus specifically for this concert.

明後日4/12(日)、Casa Classica (カーサクラシカ）(東京都)にて行われるコンサートにて、ホルン奏者である友人の鈴江月子さん(菅沼 月子)の委嘱作品「穂張り月」(ほはりづき)が初演されます！

鈴江月子さんのお子さんの誕生を祝って作曲した、穏やかさの中に活発さも感じられる5分ほどの作品です。
鈴江月子さん(ホルン)、小沼竜之さん(ピアノ)によって演奏されます。

私もコンサートに伺う予定です！
